What matters for deliveries
This week’s source-reviewed archive moves from port status and fuel charges to voyage omissions, booking restrictions and alternative transport checks. The notices describe different dates and different carriers: they are not a continuous live record of port performance.
Ports and routes
Early-week editions use the 29 September port baseline; the 7 October edition adds the 6 October voyage update. Later editions distinguish terminal congestion from post-discharge landside delays. See the dated 5 October, 7 October and 9 October entries.
Charges and alternatives
The archive separates fuel, conflict and emergency-routing charges rather than combining unrelated tariffs. The 8 October entry covers carrier acceptance; 10 October considers air-cargo alternatives. No uniform current China–Saudi freight rate is established.

Compare Dammam and Jeddah on total cost to the project site, confirmed space, actual ETA and inland delivery. For critical spare parts, assess the operational impact of a missed delivery before selecting the lowest freight quote. Ask for Ocean Freight, applicable surcharges, destination charges, free time and quote validity as separate items.
